Does the action between Douglas and Stone constitute the best sex scene ever?
According to a new report from Psychology Today, Hollywood doesn’t just romanticize the infallibility of human beings in the face of bullets; it also greatly exaggerates the quality of sex that the average Joe is having in real life. While most movies -- pornographic or not -- suggest that making love is akin to engaging in a sexual marathon, studies demonstrate that real-world sex typically only lasts from 3 to 10 minutes (more comparable to a sprint or a short jog). We can’t help but feel a little miffed at Hollywood for putting undue pressure on us with its over-the-top sex scenes, but at the same time, we certainly can’t say these film sequences haven’t constituted some of life’s minor highlights.
